Ok so you know how in my last post I proclaimed how much I love white walls? And you know how I also said that I always like both contrasting styles... Well...
I totally LOVE MAP WALLS at the moment! And there are just so many images out there at the moment of them that it feels like I'm cheating on my perfect white walls with these worldly wonders... Have a peep...

Ironically though, I think a map wall actually has lots of the properties that a white wall has too.
1. Great with wooden floors & leather couches - think of a lavish study or library
2. Makes your stuff "go" together better - look at that popping Fanta orange couch against that map
3. Looks expensive - nothing says well read and travelled like a map wall
There is however one thing a map wall has going for it that a white one doesn't and that is it will always be a talking point feature of your home... Plus you can always take/rip it down and paint it white!
I think it may be time for some maps for the store, do you agree?
PS - On a side note, I also want to mention the blackboard wall (another thing that gets my heart racing). I think it is kind of in the same category as the map wall (and a white wall for that matter), however with the added bonus of interaction from the whole household!
